This recipe shows the basics, but sometimes I like to add in some corn and cilantro just to give it a little extra flavor and color.

Ingredients
- ~5 tbsp of oil
- 2 cups of rice
- 4 cups of water
- Half white onion (diced)
- Half a tomato (diced)
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- 1-2 cubes of chicken bouillon
- Garlic powder to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat pan with oil, then add the rice, onion, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Stir until the rice until rice is light brown (not burnt). Keep stirring to not burn the onion.
- Add tomato, water, tomato sauce, and chicken bouillon.
- Lower temp to med-low.
- Let it boil and then cover for about 20 mins or until desired consistency of rice.
