Easy French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Up to 8 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Honey or syrup, for serving

Instructions

  • In a shallow baking dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla essence, sugar and salt.
  • Dip bread slices into the egg mixture. Soak both the sides well.
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp butter and 1/2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Then add the dipped bread slice and fry it until golden brown, it may take approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side. Cook the rest of the bread slices in the same manner.
